Abstract:
This study examines the impact of the EU Regulation 2023/1115, aimed at preventing the distribution of goods linked to deforestation and forest destruction, on market dynamics within the North-Transdanubia Region of Hungary. Focusing on the eight state-owned and ten of the largest private forestry firms, the research adopts a mixed-methods approach. At the current phase of the research, qualitative insights are drawn from semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders.
This research contributes to understanding the regulatory landscape for environmental sustainability and its implications in the forestry industry of Hungary
