Abstract:

Purpose/reason(s) for writing this research paper was to conduct one more pilot research on this specific topic: β€œProject Management of Web Application Development”, in the series of previous pilot research we conΒ¬ducted about different programming experiences and knowledge in the IT field. Findings/main results of the conducted research in the following study we are expected are results of our investigation and documentation of these research aspects: (1st aspect) project management processes that will be broken down in detail and explained individually using the method of modelling and content analysis, (2nd aspect) participants in the web application development project and their tasks and the stages through which the web application development project goes will be elaborated in detail, (3rd aspect) the results of the survey procedure which will show: (3.1st sub- aspect) information about the importance of each individual participant in the implementation of the web application development project, (3.2nd sub- aspect) information about the necessity of monitoring changes in the environment in order for the project manager to successfully fulfil his roles and responsibilities and adapt his activities and processes accordingly (i.e. re-engineer business processes as necessary) on the web application development project and (3.3rd sub-aspect) information on the importance of preparing for changes in the environment and positive impact on the outcome of the project managed by the IT project manager. Also, regarding research methodology, the paper will apply (a) modelling and content analysis; and (b) the Chi-square test for the statistical procedure to examine the dependence of different qualitative characteristics.
