Abstract:

Microcontrollers are increasingly used in all aspects of modern life. In this paper, a microcontroller, a distance sensor, a sound alarm, C++ programming code, IoT, and a digital camera are used to build an intelligent and secure alarm system. All this to protect against unauthorized intruders in private buildings such as residential homes, government institutions, banks, commercial premises, businesses, and the like. In the case when the sensor identifies a suspicious movement, the system activates the alarm and a camera that captures the image of the intruder. At the same time, a real-time e-mail message is sent based on IoT, notifying the presence of an unauthorized intruder and the photos captured by the digital camera are stored in a folder for visual evidence. The distance sensor is able to detect movements at different distances within its observation perimeter. This intelligent IoT-based system increases security control to the maximum level by minimizing unauthorized access to high-security environments. The completion of the work will provide an efficient and highly reliable solution for protecting the environment against unauthorized intrusions.
