Abstract:

Accounting for the relationship between the influence of politics over stock market evolutions, the present paper aims to take a snapshot on the recent presidential race in the United States of America and the progress of the stock market during the same overlapping period, comparing the two, in order to find an answer to the following question: how did the American presidential race influence the American stock market evolution in November 2024? Briefly, taking into consideration past presidential races, the paper searches for future potential developments based on the similarities between recent events and previous ones. In order to get to future possible scripts, the paper tries to find connections between American voters and investors on the American stock market based on their political preferences, gender and racial ethnicity in order to find future pathways of the development of the market.
