Abstract:
The development of new technologies has influenced the way music is consumed, which is now distributed predominantly through digital platforms. This has encouraged the global availability of diverse musical content, but has also influenced changes in the music industry, which is trying to find a balance between user habits and demands, as well as the wishes of artists and performers. One of the most popular streaming platforms is Spotify, which provides a personalized experience, ensuring an active role for consumers. This paper presents the results of a quantitative survey conducted on the general population, and its aim was to examine how digital platforms such as Spotify shape consumer habits and the music industry as a whole.
