Abstract:
The paper focuses on the issue of responsible consumption, which is one of the twelve sustainable development goals of the United Nations set until 2030. There are several strategies of responsible consumption that consumers can apply to their behavior to achieve sustainability and improve the environment. The paper aims to investigate which strategies Generation Z is willing to apply in Slovakia. Generation Z is considered to be the cohort that is most environmentally conscious and most willing to subordinate their needs to ecological conditions; therefore, it was chosen as the research group of consumers. The research was carried out on a sample of 332 respondents. According to the results of the research, Generation Z consumers are the most willing to apply sorting and repairing of products and the least swapping and renting.
