Abstract:
Any organization that aspires to dominate its industry must be aware of its current position and desired future outcomes. And to reach desired outcomes, organizations need to adjust to changes in the environment. Adapting to changing circumstances is the secret to an organization’s success, leading to a long-term competitive advantage. To do so, organizations must foster change management capabilities and learn to break out of their standard, familiar working methods to develop new products, services, and processes in a dynamic and unpredictable environment. The primary objective of this study was to determine the relationship between organizational change capabilities and competitive advantage. A total of 44 large companies operating in the Republic of Croatia participated in the study. The results show that six out of the eight elements of organizational change capability are significantly related to competitive advantage.
