Biography

Alex Sander Xavier Pires is a Portuguese and Brazilian living in Portugal where has been teaching in the Law Department of Universidade Autonoma de Lisboa, since 2015 (https://autonoma.pt/docentes/alex-sanderpires/), researching in the Centre for Research and Development in Legal Sciences Ratio Legis with function of coordinator of the research group titled “Culture of Peace and Democracy”. Furthermore, he is a Member of the 26th Committee of the International Political Science Association (IPSA), General Secretary of the Ethical and Compliance International Institute (ECII), Founder of the “Pensar a Justiça” Project and Lawyer. About his academic life, in a few words, he is Doctor in Legal and Social Sciences at Universidad del Museo Social Argentino in Buenos Aires (Argentina) since 2009, with postdoctoral studies at the Law Department of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal), and Doctor in Political Science at Universidade Candido Mendes (Brazil) since 2014.
