Biography

Marlena A. Bednarska, PhD is an assistant professor in the Department of International Economics at the Poznan University of Economics and Business, Poland. She holds a habilitation degree, which she obtained based on a thesis on job quality and its role in competing for human capital in the tourism industry.

Her areas of research include tourism industry competitiveness, tourism labour market, human capital in the tourism industry, and economics of tourism enterprise. She is an author (or co-author) of five books and numerous papers in national and international journals in the field of tourism enterprise management, quality of work life in tourism, competitiveness of the tourism industry, and regional aspects of tourism development.
