Abstract

A systematic literature survey on sales and marketing operations is presented with an emphasis on supply chain management. Articles included in the survey are categorized into four main categories identified namely: Supply Chain Management, Sales and Operations Planning, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics. The theory of Sports Marketing is presented as well as an effort-based costing case study of a team of Sports Marketing professionals working in marketing, sales and supply chain management. The costing case study approach provides activity costs calculations as well as the required Full-Time Equivalents per activity. Based on these calculations further performance metrics per activity are calculated.
