Abstract: The paper aims to analyze and determine the factors that affect the political partiesโ activities and their role in the socioeconomic life of the country. Money in politics has become more and more an element of growยญing influence to a determining power, so the control and transparency of this component are vital to maintaining the countryโs prosperity and develยญopment. The paper analyses the case of Albania, an ex-communist country, and the problems that have arisen from the use of โdirty moneyโ for financยญing politics and their political campaigns. Albania needs urgently a new law on political and financing political parties, to fight corruption, and abuse of public funds and to prevent from empowerment of organized crime. Reform of political parties is needed, in order to end the power deriving from monยญey and to consolidate the power deriving from faith and voter confidence.
