Biography

Herenia Gutierrez Ponce. Full Professor, UAM Full Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting at UAM since 1991. Accounts Auditor by the Official Registry of Accounts Auditors (R.O.A.C.) – (I.C.A.C). She has participated as a member of the ICAC Commission for the elaboration of the Resolution of February 8, 2006 of the Institute of Accounting and Audit of Accounts, which approves regulations for the registration, valuation and information of emission rights of greenhouse gases. She is Director of the Social Sciences Research Group (SOC E- 016) at UAM "Corporate Social Responsibility: Analysis of Global Productivity and the new Corporate Reporting" and has directed several research projects and participated in many others. She has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at several Spanish and foreign universities. She has been a visiting professor at the Stefan Cel Mare University, University of Suceava, (Romania) and at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), at the Meritorious National University of Puebla (Mexico), at the University of Havana (Cuba) , at the Universidad de La Frontera and at the Universidad Mayor de (Chile) and at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (Argentina). In the academic year 1991/1992 she obtained a Postdoctoral license at The London School of Economics and Political Science. She has directed more than a dozen Doctoral Theses, some with European Mention and others with International Mention. She is the author of several books, numerous national and international articles, she has presented a good number of papers and communications in national and international congresses. At the UAM, she has been the Faculty Representative in the Commission for the Preparation of the Internal Quality Assurance System for Degrees and has held the academic positions of Vice-Dean of Teaching Quality and Innovation, Vice-Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Director of the Department of Accounting.
