Biography
JUDr. Mária Nováková, PhD. has been working at the Department of Labour Law and Social Security Law, the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava since 1996 as an assistant professor. At the same time, she has been working as a lawyer – specialist at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava since 2015. Her publications focus on the issues of medical law and labour law. She is the author, or co-author of several publications, from commentaries on the Labour Code, through university textbooks, to professional and scientific publications in domestic and foreign peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed journals. She has also solved the issue of health law and the legal status of healthcare workers in her professional growth, either as the head of the personnel department at the Children’s Faculty Hospital with policlinic or as the advisor to the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. In the framework of her pedagogical activities, she provides courses in Health Law, Labour Law Basics and Labour Law.
