Abstract: The paper aims to analyze and determine the factors that affect the political partiesβ activities and their role in the socioeconomic life of the country. Money in politics has become more and more an element of growΒing influence to a determining power, so the control and transparency of this component are vital to maintaining the countryβs prosperity and develΒopment. The paper analyses the case of Albania, an ex-communist country, and the problems that have arisen from the use of βdirty moneyβ for financΒing politics and their political campaigns. Albania needs urgently a new law on political and financing political parties, to fight corruption, and abuse of public funds and to prevent from empowerment of organized crime. Reform of political parties is needed, in order to end the power deriving from monΒey and to consolidate the power deriving from faith and voter confidence.
